Deus ex Machina: A Digital Bloodletting

The thermostat went out, on our furnace this week.  It would only reach a max temp in the house of 66def. F.  I stopped at Lowes and picked up a new one.  The install was not that bad at all.  Thank God for the interwebs, to give me a quick tutorial on how to hook one up.

Now the house is warm again, at least, until today.  It’s frigid as all get out.  My house seems like it just won’t stay warm.

It’s going to be a short work week, but with all the holiday running we have, it will still be really busy.

I do believe it’s time for some tea, and bump the temp up a degree or two.  :^)

The house is empty, minus the animals.  The tree looks beautiful.  One of the greatest bands of all time is playing.  My house is really clean.  Took the family to Church, and even cooked breakfast.  The new gas lines are run, and our new stove is hooked up.  The new stainless kitchen outfit looks awesome.  Thanks to the HB for coming over and helping with all the pipe work.

There are times, that if I could purr, I would.

:^)

Simple things.

It’s an a amazing mode of conscience to have a small part of you spirit awakened, to esoteric beauty. To sit on your steps in early morning, and listen to birds singing. Sun on your face, and steam rising off a fresh mug of coffee. To just enjoy the moment. Yet, feel the movement of all the life around you. The ebb of energies. This cycle though, is not in the forefront of your consciousness. You just sit and feel the stillness. Relish the occasion. Feel life.

The smell of rain.

Melting snow.

A dog, catching a stick.

The sound of laughter.

The ripples on a lake when your first cast of the day, breaks the shimmering surface.

Unfortunately some people lack the depth, to truly appreciate stillness. Some minds, are always racing. Scheming. A constant chatter, that never dissipates.

Static.

Forlorn this is, and inexplicable. Unfortunate actually.

Beauty is : “In the eye of the beholder”.

And the beauty of stillness, is far too, unappreciated.

Hokay.

I wait a whole blinkin month for this Thurdsay. Why is that you ask? Hmmm. Well, Thurday, is burrito day at the cafe. It’s the one day of the week that I can get the most awesome burritos. The legendary bacon breakfast buritto. Now, most days, if you are not first in line, yer’ ass outta luck Jack. Period.

So, for a month now. No awesome, delicious, goodness. Every time I get to the cafe, they are all gone. Every last single stinkin one. They can make me one, but I don’t want to wait 1/2 hour for it. Bullocks.

Today however, I get the LAST bacon, breakfast burritto. Of course there is a pile of veggie, but no one eats that shit. I grab me a Starbucks, tots, and my burrito. I load up on the Tapatio hawt sauce, and get in line.

As I stand there sipping my Christmas blend *yumm*, feeling quite pleased with myself.

Ok, one more person in front of me. SWEET.

Well, not to be an asshole, I go to grab my wallet and have payment in ready. Burrito is hot, and ready to fire! I pat my left cheek……!! …. :pat pat:: !!!!’

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

No wallet.

It appears last night, while at the gym, I threw my wallet in my gym bag. So, this moring when I get dressed, no wallet.

Meetings

I am sitting in a meetings, and it’s hard to decipher this guys language.  2 hours of English as a second language from German.  On top of that is the idioms and humor translation.  ADD to that, he has a speech defect (not that the dude can help that) that add to the whole “lost in translation”.

Uggh..  at least there is free cookies, but I don’t really want any.
