As cold as it was, I barely noticed.
Listening to the advice from my mentor, I pushed out a long exaggerated exhale. The white cloud of steam that escaped, was whisked off quite sharply. It appears I had not noticed how strong the wind was blowing, either. I craned my neck skyward, and let go a few more long streaming vapor trails into the frigid wind, and smirked. Feeling quite pleased with how well my pricey cashmere wool coat works
At this point I felt myself digressing to the conversation, caught somewhere between musings of mythological breath weapons and what was being said. I forced some focus.
He lectured me to be less like a cat. It’s funny, but this is not the first time I have had this comparison made about me.
“Once you catch them, you just pat them about, and play with them. The chase is over…now what?”.
